You need just 4 simple ingredients - creamy Greek yogurt, chopped fresh fruit, crunchy granola and honey - to put together these Greek yogurt parfaits. They make a great nutritious breakfast or snack, and take just 5 minutes to make. Mix and match the ingredients to suit your taste, or why not go with a 'make your own yogurt parfait bar' and let everyone make their own?
Start by adding 1 to 2 big spoonfuls of yogurt in the bottom of each glass.
1⅓ cups Greek yogurt
Add a spoonful of fresh fruit, a spoonful of granola and around a teaspoon of honey on top.
1½ cups fresh fruit, 1 cup granola, ¼ cup honey
Spoon the rest of the yogurt on top. Then finish with a final layer of the chopped fruit, granola and honey.
Enjoy immediately, or cover with plastic wrap and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. If making ahead, only add the top layer of granola just before serving.
Notes
Yogurt: I like an authentic Greek brand made from only milk or yogurt cultures such as Chobani or FAGE. I find the Chobani 0% fat version (in a blue container) thick and creamy, but feel free to use your favorite. Possible fruit combinations: Try chopped strawberries and kiwi fruit (as in my photos!), peach, nectarine, or plum and pear, apple and blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and banana, apple and raspberry, mixed berry (or whatever you like or have!).Granola: I like a low sugar granola with mixed seeds and nuts in it. Or try making your own. Try this low sugar granola recipe, or this dark chocolate chip granola.
